Summary:
In Genesis, the fundamental Biblical stewardship is explained when we taught that God owns everything and we are simply managers acting on his behalf. This explains why the protection of the environment falls under the Principles of Stewardship. Stewardship calls for God’s people to be managers and not owners of God’s creations. We do not own the environment or any of God’s creations, but we do need to maintain and nurture them. Over the past centuries we have destroyed many of God’s creations with our technologies and industries. There are many species that are extinct that we cannot get back. It is time that we change our way of thinking and become morally responsible to address these issues in order
reverse the environmental damage that we have caused.
