Hidden Curriculum Rubrics for Teachers ...
The hidden curriculum is one of the pathways used through which our Catholic educational system seeks to fulfil its "Catholic Graduate Expectations". The curriculum is offered to all Catholic students in Ontario, and the hidden curriculum's aim is to:
- teach the beliefs, doctrines and practices of the Roman Catholic Church
- encourage the development of moral values and respect and tolerance of other religions, races and cultures and develop a sense of vocation
- enable all to experience the satisfaction of achievement
- enable all to understand the world in which they live and the interdependence of individuals, groups and nations
- enable all to develop the knowledge and skills needed for them to function effectively in and contribute to society
- enable all to develop lively, enquiring, open minds; the ability to question and argue rationally and apply themselves with resilience
