I think the most profound statement that I read is:
The Gospel is not a book of fact but documents of faith
since it reports real events of Jesus Christ.

3 Things I learned about Jesus
2 Questions I have from the readings
1 Concept that may be difficult for students to understand
o Why did each Gospel address different audiences?
o Why did each Gospel serve a different purpose and emphasized on different themes?
- His teachings were mainly confined to the area around the Sea of Galilee.
- The people in his town were convinced that he was ‘mad’ and exiled him.
- Jesus’ last name changed at least 3 times in his lifetime – but Christ was not one of them.
2 Questions I have from the readings
- Why did Jesus not get married?
- Why was there tension between Jesus and his family?
- If God is always with us than why would Jesus feel abandoned by God while on the cross (according to Mark)?
1 Concept that may be difficult for students to understand
- Why four gospel?
o Why did each Gospel address different audiences?
o Why did each Gospel serve a different purpose and emphasized on different themes?
- Why are there conflicting messages in the Gospels?
For example, Jesus felt betrayed by God while on the cross according to Mark but Jesus put his spirit in God’s hands according to Luke.
- Why did Jesus feel that he should challenge the laws of Moses?
